CHRISTMAS EVE 2017

We headed up to Kenji’s house on Christmas Eve. The first order of business was to check out the presents.

Then I joined the boys in watching something riveting on TV. (I think it was either “The Polar Express” or “The Smurfs,” and in both cases, I had no idea what was going on.)

Chubs liked watching us eat dinner.

After Uncle Ryan’s delicious dinner (the soba was my favorite!), I did some drawing.

Meanwhile, Kenji wondered if his Uncle Eric actually tied poop bags around his arms.

Later, while the grown-ups were busy, I did a little babysitting until it was time to go to bed before Christmas.

AFTER PARTY

Today we left Seattle to come back home, but enjoyed a little morning time with Kenji.

Kenji is my favorite cousin, so I gave him a little kiss.

Kenji really liked his birthday balloons!

Bye, Kenji. See you again soon!

NANA AND PAPA COME BACK

Nana and Papa went up to Seattle to visit Kenji for his 1st birthday. Then they came back to see me for a couple of days…just in time for us all to go back up to Seattle for Kenji’s birthday party tomorrow!

So today, we had a chill day hanging out at home drawing, enjoying the sunny weather, telling tales of Mommies and Jokey, and doing jigsaw puzzles on Papa’s computer.

INDEPENDENCE DAY 2017

It was America’s birthday! To celebrate, we hit the beach again – but this time, the one that’s only 10 minutes away on the Willamette River.

Chubs liked this one a lot more because it was actually warm and sunny.

It was time to get down to the business of building a LEGO river boat.

Will it float???

YES!!!

Even Chubs was excited!

On the walk back to the car, I found a big stick!

USA! USA! USA! Land of big sticks!

OCEANSIDE, DAY TWO

On our second and final day in Oceanside, I wasted no time hitting the beach.

This is what it looks like when Mommy asks me to stand by Daddy and Chubs for a picture. Run!

Daddy’s feet thought the water was really cold!

Here are some actual pictures of me with Mommy.

Daddy drew an airplane in the sand, so I got on board.

Then we went on a short beach hike that ended in a tunnel inside of a mountain.

After the beach, I really wanted to see the lighthouse nearby. I went up three times!

Can you see me in there?

OCEANSIDE, DAY ONE

For Mommy’s 40th birthday, we decided to finally visit the Oregon coast. On day one, we got to Oceanside Beach in the afternoon, and I immediately remembered, I love the ocean!

Just as I was a big fan of the beach, Chubs was a big fan of a comfy bed in a warm hotel room!
