I went to my school’s Meet & Greet shindig yesterday to meet some of my new classmates, play on the ol’ playground, and ask my teachers if they went on any airplanes over the summer.
BOUNCY CASTLE
Look at what I convinced Mommy and Daddy to do to their house.
I’M WRITING A BOOK
The working title is “Airplane Niihau,” for both of my current obsessions – airplanes and Hawaii.
TIN SHED
We went up to Portland yesterday to peruse neighborhoods for when we maybe one day possibly move there.
While we were there, we had lunch at the Tin Shed, where we met up with Aunt Lisa and Uncle Ryan last year.
I was super excited to fly there like an airplane!
But then we waited. A long time. For a table.
But Chubs was really happy because he loves coming out with us!
KIDNEY VISIT
I went back to Doernbecher to visit my nephrologist for a routine follow-up. Everything looks good! I’ll go back in six months to visit the gang.
Then I got to the important work of taking the tram! I was so excited, I had to run the whole way there.
THINGS I SAY #62
Me: The farmer in the dell?!?! But Dell is a computer!
CRAYOLA MASTERPIECES #7
There is literally no limit to the number of airplanes I am able to draw.
OREGON ZOO
Yesterday, we went to the Oregon Zoo. I’m not exactly…a fan of animals. They kind of scare me. But I was super brave and went anyway.
And rode on a train and a carousel!
THINGS I SAY #61
I am at Legos @ The Library and the librarian is talking to one of the other kids.
Librarian: Raphael, do you know where Lego started?
Raphael: Norway?
Librarian: Really close! It’s one of the the Scandinavian countries.
Raphael: Finland?
Librarian: No, but close. It’s Sweden. Legos come from Sweden.
Me: (quietly to myself): Legos come from Denmark.
FLYING HIGH
Went to the ol’ airport again, just for fun, to go watch planes.
We saw a buuuuunch of them. But some of the highlights:
- 75th Anniversary retro Alaska Airlines
- Retro Continental Airlines (What?! Continental’s not even around anymore!)
- Fighter jets
- Iceland Air
- JetBlue (rarely seen at PDX)
- Spirit Airlines – gray version (I’d seen the yellow version and white version, but never gray!)
