COLOR ME MINE

Mommy and I drove up to a Portland suburb called Hillsboro to paint pottery at a place called Color Me Mine. I had so much fun! I was definitely the giddiest, happiest, loudest person there. They will fire up my future ice cream bowl in a kiln and I can pick up the finished product in about a week. (As I already warned Mommy, I will also be painting another piece of pottery.)

I had such a good time, I didn’t want to go home right away. So I sat on this wall for a while.

And then put my hand in this fountain. It was 95 degrees out!

MUSIC IN THE PARK

For the last two summers, the Music In The Park concert series that happens behind our house has been a source of anxiety, as I was not a music fan.

But when this year’s concert series started last week, I actually kind of liked it. And much to Mommy and Daddy’s surprise, I asked to go this week. So I watched the cars drive onto the field and got prepped for my first music concert.

And the first thing I saw…a bouncy castle!

And then I got a balloon. A highlight of the night!

Then we sat down for some pizza and the tunes of the Bobby Torres Ensemble.

Even Chubs had a good time!

After we got home, I could still hear the bongos as I played with my balloon on the deck.

OREGON ZOO TRAIN

I think most kids go to the zoo to see the animals. But I go strictly to ride the zoo train. We rode it over and over until it closed. Then we went home.

I just love it when Mommy asks me to pose for pictures. Can’t you tell?

JOURNEY TO ESTACADA

Today I visited the home of one of Mommy’s friends in Estacada, OR. She has four kids, but I hung out with the younger two – Indy and Phoenix. They showed me their rabbit, Small. (Their older sister, Kate, built his hutch.)

I gave him some blueberries and he ate them! (He loves rose petals, too.)

I also swam in their pool! (I had more fun than I look here.)

And I looked at the awesome map they have in their outdoor hangout area! (It’s not current, but it had Hawaii, so that’s all that matters.)

HOMEWARD BOUND

All trips must come to an end and the Boston Logan Airport sends you off with big white rocking chairs.

As soon as I got on the airplane, I made a sharp left to check out the cockpit. Luckily, everyone was really nice and I got to talk to the pilots!

While flying, the action of the week caught up to me and I took a little nap on Mommy’s lap.

While I was awake, though, I took a whole bunch of pictures from the airplane. Thanks for a fun trip, Grandma and Grandpa!

KAYAK BOY

On our final day in New Hampshire, we went out to breakfast and Hugs had a great time frolicking outside.

After breakfast, we went out to the lake.

I got all geared up for a big outing on the inflatable kayak. I named the boat Chillo. I named Grandpa’s other kayaks Lenny and Dottie.

After Mommy, Daddy, and I all went out, Grandpa took it for a spin, too.

When we got back home, Grandma read me a story as we began to wind down for our trip back to Portland.

PORTSMOUTH

We headed toward the Atlantic Ocean on a little road trip to Portsmouth, NH. I had to take Hugs because she loves long rides!

We walked the streets and I sat on them, too.

Because Daddy can’t leave a small town without visiting their bookstore, we ended up in RiverRun Bookstore where I found a cool map of Portsmouth.
