NANA AND PAPA COME BACK

Nana and Papa went up to Seattle to visit Kenji for his 1st birthday. Then they came back to see me for a couple of days…just in time for us all to go back up to Seattle for Kenji’s birthday party tomorrow!

So today, we had a chill day hanging out at home drawing, enjoying the sunny weather, telling tales of Mommies and Jokey, and doing jigsaw puzzles on Papa’s computer.

DADDY’S BIRTHDAY

Nana and Papa are in town to celebrate the Daddy/Auntie Lisa/Mommy birthday extravaganza. Soooo…of course…I convinced them to take me to Bricks and Minifigs.

Then my excitement about being in my favorite store on earth switched to the disappointment in knowing I couldn’t take every set home with me.

But then I got the fire helicopter and all was good in the world again. Thanks, Nana and Papa!

In honor of the birthday boy – Daddy! – we went out to eat at a sushi restaurant.

All restaurants should have conveyer belts that bring food past your table.

THE TAYLOR’S VISIT

The Taylor gang visited yesterday! Cousin Kenji is four months old now and very different from the last time I saw him.

Thank you, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Ryan, for making the long trek with a baby (Mommy and Daddy tell me it’s not easy!) and for the super cozy blanket.

And thank you, Nana and Papa, for coming and taking care of Chubs during my surgery and making lots and lots of food for all of us!

LAKE MEAD

During one of the few windows of rainlessness while in Nevada, we went to Lake Mead to feed the ducks and fish. Even though the carp had gigantic mouths, they were too slow to grab any of the food. Those ducks are fast!

BUDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

It’s been raining in Nevada, so we stayed in most of the day again. I grabbed Mommy’s phone and took advantage of having new surroundings and subjects to photograph.

I also like to do some experimental works…

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

I started my post-Halloween morning off right with a breakfast of M&M’s and “white coffee” (aka milk).

Then we learned about the Day of the Dead at school, where I painted my face and made a cool mask. The young lady pictured with me (other than Mommy!) is my classmate, Eliwen.
