For Mother’s Day, we all went on a hike around Reed Lake, which is on the Reed College campus. I hiked the whole thing, over a mile long!

Here’s the bookmark I gave Mommy for Mother’s Day. She loved it!

When I visited Kenji in Seattle last month, Mommy took lots of pictures of us together, but didn’t post them all. So here they are!

Kenji loves to pull blankets over his face. And mine, too.

I was pretty fascinated with Kenji’s head.

Happy Mother’s Day!

It’s actually been warm and sunny for a few days in a row. Could it really be spring??? After my feeding appointment with Miss Christine, I played in her yard like I like to do.

Oh, look, I found myself having fun at the airport again.

It’s exhausting having fun.

The unusually cold and long Portland winter wasn’t kind to my cucumber and squash plants. So we’re at it again!
Mommy put me to work yesterday. We’re trying cucumber again, plus tomatoes, strawberries, and flowers I picked out at the nursery.

I am playing LEGOs with Daddy.
Daddy: Why don’t we make a platform for your Minifig to stand on so your helicopter can rescue him. I’ll start building the platform.
Me: Maybe I should make the platform. It’s a bit challenging.
I’m really interested in the solar system right now. So I was super into the Cassini spacecraft and had to make some drawings about it.

Hallelujah, we have a working kitchen faucet again!
It only took 5 days, several trips to the hardware store, and Nick – the guy who was intimately familiar with our super weird plumbing (he used to live in our townhouse complex!) and told us what we needed to do to get around it. George Morlan Plumbing Supply FTW!
I think I’d make a good bathtub model, don’t you?

Talking about pipes and fittings is boring.

Mommy and I are discussing our trip to the east coast this summer.
Me: I’m not sure, but I think a private jet would be best.
I had another play date with Eliwen yesterday. As usual, we started off at the Singer Hill Cafe.

Then we went to the Oregon City Public Library, where I did some more flower hunting.

Next, I had to go check out my latest work from last weekend’s LEGOLab. (I go every Saturday with Daddy now.)

Then we played on the computers. I had my own computer, but I wanted to check out what she was watching (a video that had girls with butterfly wings or something??)

Then it was off to play with the second greatest building toy (after LEGO, of course)… Magna-Tiles! I built an airport terminal, as I always do.

Then we went off on our separate ways. I always stay for a really long time. I like the peace and quiet. And once Mommy drags me out of the house, it’s hard to drag me back in.
