GRANDMA AND GRANDPA COME TO TOWN

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit me! And I pulled all the stops to bring nice, sunny weather here for them.

First, we walked the streets of Lake Oswego to go to our favorite French bakery and Grandma’s favorite florist.

Then we drove all the way up to Vancouver, WA and got to see airplanes at Pearson Field.

After, we headed to an ice cream place. Grandma and I didn’t get any, so it was my opportunity to chat with her about decaf coffee.

Vancouver has so many outdoor murals.

I really wanted to see the Vancouver Land Bridge (another pedestrian bridge to check off the list). But we had to walk pretty far from Fort Vancouver to see it.

We were really close to Pearson Field, so there was some good airplane spotting.

I don’t remember what I was talking about here, but you can bet it was pretty good.

And then Daddy tried to put me in a cannon. It was a good day!

MONTHLY LEGOLAB

LEGOLab at the Oregon City Public Library recently went from a weekly event to just once a month. (But I kinda like it that way because I have time to drop pins on Google Maps and go driving around with Daddy the other weeks.)

THINGS I SAY #72

I am at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and my nephrologist comes into the exam room.

Doctor: Hi Dexter. How are you doing?

Me: What’s your name?

Doctor: I’m Dr. Rozansky.

Me: Dr. Rozansky, how does my bloodwork look?

Doctor: Dexter, no kid has ever asked me how their bloodwork looks.

KIDNEY SUCCESS

I had a full day at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to make sure my kidneys are still doing what they’re supposed to do. And they’re doing great! So great, in fact, that Dr. Rozansky said I don’t have to go back for another year. Woohoo!
