SATURDAY OUTING

Before Labor Day, we headed to Lake Oswego for a new (to us) breakfast joint called Chuck’s.

As you can see, waiting is so fun.

Mommy asked me to smile for the camera, so I did…

Much more fun was walking along this narrow ledge. I am a self-proclaimed “dare devil.”

And even more fun was sliding down this mega slide at Sahallie Illahee Park in West Linn!

MUSIC IN THE PARK 2

Thursday night means Music in the Park and I wanted to go again!

You’ll probably find me in the bouncy castle for the next three weeks…

I discovered these things called hula hoops. They’re very mysterious.

I took a little break to do some chalk drawing…

…but then it was back to hula hoops for the rest of the night.

MARSHALL PARK

I visited a new placed called Marshall Park in Portland and it was really cool. I liked wading in Tryon Creek and especially liked the bridge and tunnel that was built over it!

And the park also had a pretty cool swing…

EASTSIDERS

Nana and Papa made a visit our way and we took them across the Willamette River to the east side of Portland. Our first stop was a restaurant called the Tin Shed, where we had to wait a long time, even though it was a Thursday.

Then we went to the playground at Laurelhurst Park.

Before heading home, we stopped to see the ducks at the Laurelhurst Duck Pond.

By the end of the day, Chubs was ready for a nap!

PLAYING WITH OLIVER

I went to Annabel’s house to play again, but her older brother Oliver was there so I played with him, too! (He’s 7 and Annabel is 4.) They recently moved here from New Zealand, but they had this great map of America and the interstates.

Oliver also showed me the fort he made.

And I had to check out the tunnel that he and Annabel share.

HASTA LA VISTA, PRESCHOOL

Today was the last day of preschool!

It was basically a day of playing on these swings for the last time until September.

When the donuts, fruit, and popcorn were doled out, I passed on it and delighted in having the swings all to myself.

Freedom! (Until September…back to Cherry Hills for one more year.)

JENGA

Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah got me this Jenga game for my birthday and I’ve been eyeing it with curiosity ever since. But I finally decided to open it up and play! My favorite part is stacking it into a tower.
