HASTA LA VISTA, PRESCHOOL

Today was the last day of preschool!

It was basically a day of playing on these swings for the last time until September.

When the donuts, fruit, and popcorn were doled out, I passed on it and delighted in having the swings all to myself.

Freedom! (Until September…back to Cherry Hills for one more year.)

THE BIG FIVE

I’m five!!! My birthday wish was to stay home all day in my pajamas. And it was fulfilled.

One of my gifts was a stroller for Hugs!

Hugs just loves doing stunts and riding over rough terrain.

After dinner, I had my choice of cupcakes and mini cheesecakes and Daddy helped me blow out the candles.

SANTA CLAUS

The Autism Society of Oregon set up a sensory-friendly Santa experience. No music or camera flashes! (They GET me).

Still, there was no way I was going to look at the camera lady. (You can’t just trust a total stranger.)

Instead of asking for toys, I got down to the important business of asking Santa what airlines he’s been on. He said North Pole Airlines. What?? Never heard of that one…and I’ve heard of ’em all.

I also let him know all of the roads we drove on to come see him.

Then it was off to the craft table to make a cool ornament. Thanks, Santa!

PRESCHOOL PICTURE

I was so upset about picture day at school, Mommy had to come pick me up early. But we forgot my coat and had to go back to school to fetch it. By then, I had chilled out and let the photographer take pictures of me while I played on the climbing structure.

So here it is! My official preschool picture:

ECLIPSE 2017

Today was the eclipse! From our deck in West Linn, Oregon, we had 99.2% obscuration. Not bad!

We also watched the eclipse watchers down at the park behind our house. This was at totality, which means the sun is super strong! Even with 99.2% obscuration, it didn’t get that dark.

SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER!

Yesterday was my last day of schooooool!

I got this cool diploma, even though I’m not totally done with preschool yet. I have one more year to go.

While the other kids went outside for donuts, I had the whole classroom to myself!

We all got a bucket full of cool stuff when we left. Eliwen and I hung out for a while eating our new Ring Pops.

Thank you, Ms. Tami, Ms. Chelle, Ms. Ann, and Ms. Cathy! See you in the fall!
