CRYSTAL AND CHRIS DO PORTLAND

My friends, Crystal and Chris, are visiting here from Los Angeles. For our first day, we headed to the Columbia River Gorge to see Multnomah Falls. But due to last summer’s forest fire, the amazing pedestrian bridge was closed.

So we headed over to another area called Bridal Veil, which I went to with Grandma and Grandpa a couple of years ago. This time, I was a major fan of bridges.

The Overlook Loop trail had nice views of the Columbia River, but I made sure everyone also saw I-84.

Then we went to McMenamins Edgefield for lunch at a converted fire house.

EASTER 2018

Kenji visited our house on Easter weekend and one of our favorite things to do was color eggs.

Kenji really liked the egg dye and got his hands so messy, he had to go inside to clean up. So I continued on my own.

I got my hands very colorful, too!

Kenji could barely stand watching me have all the fun by myself through the window…

…so he came back for Round Two!

Whew! That was some hard work, but we walked away with some very cool eggs.

After Kenji had a bath, he had some fun coloring with my old baby crayons and pushing around the stroller. It was fun having you here, Taylor gang!

SLIDE KING

Now that I’ve mastered the slide, I had to go back and do it again.

I also hit my other old favorites…

Then it was time to head home. Where was everyone else? No one likes to play and walk in the freezing cold??

SPRING BREAK PARK DAY

It’s spring break!

I decided I wanted to go to the park, even though it was cold and rainy. As we hoofed it over there, I was a man on a mission.

I’ve always been afraid of going down the slide by myself and have done it only two or three times in the past. But this time, I went down all six of the slides a whole bunch of times! It was super fun and I’m not afraid of them anymore.
