Yesterday was my family birthday party. I got so many car and truck things, I hardly know what to do with them! But I think I’ll manage.

Yesterday was my family birthday party. I got so many car and truck things, I hardly know what to do with them! But I think I’ll manage.

The night before my big family birthday party, I commissioned Grandma and Uncle Mike to play cars with me.

My 3-year stats!
Length: 35.25 in (10th percentile)
Weight: 28 lbs 8 oz (25th percentile) I’M GROWING!
Number of teeth: 16 (but 2 more are on their way!)
Favorite food: Trader Joe’s organic whole milk plain yogurt – STILL!
Favorite toy: I still love all my cars and trucks equally.
Favorite book: I like a lot of books right now. Probably my favorite, though, is Cars Galore by Peter Stein and Bob Staake.
Fun words I say: Miralax, probiotic, iPad, Kindle, lugubrious (Daddy just taught me that one).
Stuff I can do: Read numbers from 0-19; type “Tayo” in the search field on YouTube; tell the difference between a flat head and a Phillips head.
Compare with my last checkup!

Thank you and goodbye to my feeding therapist, Debra!
When I started with Debra a little over a year ago, I couldn’t have my face cleaned without me screaming, I wouldn’t let anyone brush my teeth, wouldn’t drink out of a bottle or cup, and wouldn’t put anything in my mouth except for yogurt, baby oatmeal, and strawberry puree. Now, I have no problem having my face cleaned (even my nose!), having my teeth brushed (my dentist is super happy!), drinking out of a cup (still don’t understand that whole straw thing, though), or putting lots of different foods in my mouth.
Pretty soon, I’ll start seeing the doctors and therapists at Portland’s pediatric feeding clinic, and they will take me to the next level of actually chewing and swallowing the food that I put in my mouth. Debra told me to let her know when that happens. She’ll be so happy!
As much as I love Debra, though, I would not let Mommy take a picture of us on our last day. But Debra tricked me and asked me to help her move the garbage can. And Mommy got her picture! Nooooo!

Yesterday, I had a birthday party at my school, where my nickname is “Ducky.” And Daddy came to my party! I was so happy!

Good morning to the first day of my fourth year!

Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah came over and I drove them in my bus. Unfortunately, Uncle Mike was later thrown off of the bus after failing to properly buckle his seatbelt, as I do not have a license and can sometimes drive a little recklessly.

I just had my third and best visit to the dentist! I was pretty nervous, but it went okay. I didn’t scream too much. And I continue to be cavity free. Mommy was glad to hear I was teething, because I’ve been…er…”challenging” lately. She was afraid I’d never sleep or eat again, but I guess I will once my last set of molars come in.

I finally decided to spend some of the Christmas money I got from Nana and Papa – and got myself a new car!
I still have some money left. I wonder what I’ll buy next time! (Spoiler alert: probably a car.)
