WE MOVED!

We moved to a new house! Before we left the old house, I got to sit where the TV used to be.

Finley helped pack up the garage.

This is what it looked like before the furniture was about to get loaded onto the truck.

Sunnie didn’t like the moving process at all.

But Finley seemed completely relaxed about it.

He did want to spend one more time in his catio…

…before it was taken apart forever. The next catio will be epic, Finley! (Window art by my friend, Cayah!)

AMUSEMENT PARK ART

You maaaaay know by know that I really love roller coasters and amusement parks. So here are some amusement park drawings.

One of my favorite YouTubers is Olli43. This is his park, The Mega Park.

I made a little comic about a family going to an amusement park. (Start at the top right.)

I made a drawing honoring Wicked Twister, a roller coaster that closed forever this year.

And here is Cedar Point, the roller coaster capital of the world! Another favorite YouTuber, Taylor Bybee, is visiting there.

PRIMARY SCHOOL PLAYGROUND TOUR, PART 2

We continued our primary school playground tour, starting with my very own (and very favorite), Cedaroaks!

I showed Mommy and Daddy how I like to hang on the monkey bars and then drop down.

I also really love the swings.

But probably my very favorite is the play structure.

Then we went a little down the road to Bolton Primary. Those poor children don’t have a very good playground. But I still had a fun time. (And our last school, Stafford Primary, had their playground locked. Maybe we’ll try next weekend!)

OAKS! FINAL VISIT OF 2021

Today was my final visit to Oaks Park this year. They’re closing for the season soon, so I had to get on my favorite rides!

I love Zoom Coaster and got lots of rides on it. Before one of my rides, I just had to gaze at it lovingly from all angles.

Oaks has a mini museum display about its history. It’s been around since 1905!

I even got one of my new favorite treats – Shave Ice.

We closed out our day on the Scrambler! But we’ll be back next year, of course.

And what else will 2022 bring? I’m hoping to get to Canobie Lake Park in New Hampshire, as well as Knott’s Berry Farm (or will it be Worlds of Fun, Silver Dollar City, Six Flags Over Texas, Hershey Park, Discovery Kingdom…….???)

FIRST DAY OF 2nd GRADE

It was my first day of 2nd grade! And I actually went to school IN PERSON. I thought it was kind of strange, but I was also really excited.

I have Miss Janes as my teacher this year and I enter the school through a different gate than I did when I was in kindergarten.

I had lots of fun at school, but I was tired when I got home! (But then I was totally ready to play Planet Coaster when I got inside.)

ADVENTURE PARK WITH KENJI

Kenji came down to visit us for the weekend, so we went up to Adventure Park on Mt. Hood for some action. We started by riding the Alpine Slide – but, first, you get to take a ski lift up to the top of the slide!

Then we drove the Kiddie Karts. Kenji is already an expert driver of his Tesla.

Next, we did the Bungee Trampoline. Kenji could do backflips!

When we went to the Pony Ride area, we found out that we actually got to ride a donkey!

I’ve never ridden one and was nervous, so Daddy held me on in the beginning.

But then I was able to ride all by myself!

Mommy, Auntie Lisa, and Kenji went on the Aqua Rollers, where you roll around on top of water. This was Mommy’s view out the side of her roller.

And then at home, as we often do, we cozied up in bed to rest. It was fun having you, Kenji!

SILVERWOOD THEME PARK

We went to Silverwood Theme Park in northern Idaho! They have a section called Roller Coaster Alley where most of their extreme coasters live.

My first ride was Corkscrew. Fun fact: this was the first Arrow Corkscrew ever built and the first inverting coaster in the world. It originally operated at Knott’s Berry Farm until it was relocated to Silverwood in 1990.

It was also a rough headbanger.

Later, we rode the wooden coaster, Timber Terror, and this kiddie coaster, Tiny Toot.

I loved this swing ride called Barnstormer.

The next day, it was time for the long drive home…

…and a lunch stop at the Boardman, Oregon-famous C&D Drive-In. Daddy actually had the Bozo Burger! (I had the strawberry smoothie.)
