For Halloween this year, I dressed up as my classmate, Maddie! I made my costume myself, sticking flowers to my clothes and creating a “blankie dress” (Mommy helped with the safety pins.)
First, I went trick-or-treating at my neighbor, Suzi’s, house.
This house was so scary, I ended up not even ringing the doorbell. I just got outta there!
This one was much better.
Once again, my pumpkin bucket was so full, I could hardly carry it by the end. Another successful candy grab!
I was a little bit nervous, but I had studied my school map, learned my class schedule, rehearsed my morning routine, and practiced opening and closing my lunchbox. By this morning, I was ready and excited!
We start every day in the school gym for “Morning Meeting.” (The lady next to me in the pink sweater is my teacher, Mrs. Flagg.)
After our meeting, Mrs. Flagg walked us to our classroom.
This is when we took our lunch boxes out of our bags, right before Mommy and Daddy said goodbye.
And this is me, super tired and carrying a really heavy backpack, when Mommy picked me up. But I had a great time! Kindergarten is way more fun than preschool!
It was my last Music in the Park for 2019. While next Thursday’s summer finale is happening, I’ll be sleeping soundly in my bed to be ready for school the next morning.
So I made it a good one! First, I love walking to the park from our house.
I also love the bouncy castle. And this slide is amazing!
Finally, I love walking home as the sun sets. I can’t wait for next summer!
He’s a big animal lover, so we went to Triskelee Farm in West Linn. I was also excited to see the pigs and llamas (turned out they were actually alpacas) because they’re my favorites in Minecraft!
First, we waited for our farm guide in a cool barn.
Kenji and Aunt Lisa played a game of ping pong in the barn.
While we were waiting, Kenji and I liked running down the little ramp outside the barn.
Then it was time to see the animals. The goats were first.
Kenji went right in and immediately started feeding them.
I was pretty scared of them and terrified at the idea of feeding them…but I did it anyway because I’m super brave!
Then it was time to see the pigs. Daddy liked this fella, Fungi.
And Kenji and I hung out with Shiitake.
Then it was time for the alpacas.
I definitely was not going to feed them, but Kenji did!
It was around this time I was wondering when the farm tour would be done…
…But there were still ostriches to see!
Kenji was immediately ready to feed them some corn.
Daddy liked feeding them, too.
I liked holding the big soft ostrich feather.
The ostrich I liked best was the one in this cage…
…the baby!
Then it was off to see the horses. Daddy loved them!
