OAKS PARK OPENING DAY 2022

Oaks Amusement Park is open for another great season! Of course, I had to go on opening day, which is now my tradition.

After riding Zoom Coaster a few times, I relaxed with a fruit punch while watching…Zoom Coaster.

I won a carnival game and got this adorable bunny (named Cutie Poo) and Mommy made me pose for this picture.

Frog Hopper has becoming one of my favorite rides!

And before we left, I said goodbye to Adrenaline Peak. (Definitely not riding it again, though!) Another great day at Oaks!

OAKS! FINAL VISIT OF 2021

Today was my final visit to Oaks Park this year. They’re closing for the season soon, so I had to get on my favorite rides!

I love Zoom Coaster and got lots of rides on it. Before one of my rides, I just had to gaze at it lovingly from all angles.

Oaks has a mini museum display about its history. It’s been around since 1905!

I even got one of my new favorite treats – Shave Ice.

We closed out our day on the Scrambler! But we’ll be back next year, of course.

And what else will 2022 bring? I’m hoping to get to Canobie Lake Park in New Hampshire, as well as Knott’s Berry Farm (or will it be Worlds of Fun, Silver Dollar City, Six Flags Over Texas, Hershey Park, Discovery Kingdom…….???)

ADRENALINE PEAK

I went to Oaks again! As you can see, I am officially 48″ tall, which means I can go on a lot more rides.

And guess what??? I went on Adrenaline Peak! I was super scared, but super brave. It was my first inverting coaster (three inversions, actually!) and past vertical drop.

This is me on Adrenaline Peak! Who wants to go with me next time?

Another new one I can ride has become my very favorite: Disk-O! I went on it 3 times.

I also went on Rock and Roll…

…and an oldie but goodie, Chipper’s Choppers. Plus a bunch of others. It was an awesome day! I can’t wait to go again!

PORTLAND DAY

I’ve been trapped at home for so long, I really wanted to go to Portland and have a big day.

First, I wanted to go to Forest Park and hike to the Witch’s Castle.

After walking for almost a mile, we found it!

Then we had to walk back up to go to our next stop.

We ordered some food from Burgerville and went to Peninsula Park to have our lunch.

This is usually a big rose garden so it looked kind of weird to have a field of dead roses. But I liked running around the edge of it.

It was a fun day! We even ended it by picking up some donuts! (I got chocolate frosted.)
