PEDIATRICIAN AND THE PARK

Yesterday, I met my new pediatrician, Dr. Cooley. She was a nice lady, but I still made sure to make a dramatic exit by screaming, angrily opening the door of the exam room, tearing off my sweatshirt, and swiftly marching down the hall with no shoes. Then, when asked if I’d like a sticker, replying “NOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

(She is setting me up with a developmental pediatrician, neurologist, and place at the feeding clinic, so Mommy was happy.)

Then we went to the park, even though it was cold and rainy. I was promised the park, and gosh darn it, I was going!

EAR INFECTION

I’ve been feeling sick, cranky, clingy, and without an appetite for the last two and a half weeks, so I found myself at the doctor yesterday. It turns out my last ear infection never un-infected itself. But not only am I a total pro at taking medicine now, I (shhh) actually kind of like it.

RETAIL THERAPY

Yesterday, I went to the doctor because I’ve been sick for three weeks and have been really tired. I started crying before we even got in the car. So Mommy surprised me with a brand new truck that Grandma and Grandpa sent me. I cheered up right away! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!

Oh, and I have an ear infection.

FEVER

A week ago, I had my very first fever. And it triggered my very first (and hopefully last) febrile seizure. Dad left work to help mom bring me to the doctor. And, boy, was I exhausted from all that excitement. But the next day, I was back to playing with all of my toys and yelling at the cars on our street. Didn’t miss a beat.
