SAKURA IS HERE!

Welcome to the world, Sakura!

My brand new baby cousin was born on July 2nd. Nana and Papa are up in Seattle visiting her right now. Isn’t she so cute? I can’t wait to meet you, Sakura!

JOURNEYING BACK HOME

Before leaving to go home, I had to tackle this gigantic slice of watermelon.

At McCarran Airport, I told Nana and Papa what gate we were leaving from.

I took this picture of our plane!

When it was time to board, I got to talk to Capt. Henry. He invited me to sit in the First Officer’s seat, but nope, I was not going to do that. Then he showed me a button I could push and that’s when I was outta there!

I did draw a picture for him and First Officer Richard, though. I got to give it to them on the way out.

CONTAINER PARK

It was a beautiful day, so we headed to Container Park in downtown Las Vegas. It has a cool treehouse with three long, curvy slides!

There is also a big open space with building blocks, a bench swing, and what I called the yellow area.

The most interesting thing was this BUTTON. I couldn’t decide if I should push it…

Such a tough decision!

But then I just couldn’t help myself!

Bye, Container Park! You were fun to play in!

WINDY CITY

Today, I planned on going to the pool. But it was such a windy day, I decided to skip it and hang out instead.

I went for a walk around the neighborhood to search for Endermite food. (Endermite is a character in Minecraft.)

I had to fight the wind!

And then Daddy had to fight the wind!

Afterwards, Nana wanted to take a family portrait of me, Mommy, and Daddy.

And then I wanted to take a family portrait, too.

THE ADVENTUREDOME

On my first morning in Henderson, Papa told me about his days as a fingerprint analyst and showed me fingerprints on the computer.

Then we looked at my fingerprints through a magnifying loupe.

Afterwards, we got to do the thing I was super excited for – The Adventuredome at Circus Circus. I LOVED IT.

Here’s a little video of me having the time of my life.

STORYTELLERS CAFE

The morning after Disneyland, I went to The Grand Californian Hotel to have breakfast with Nana & Papa and a bunch of Disney characters.

As soon as I walked in to the Storytellers Cafe, I saw Chip and gave him a high five and a hug!

After I sat down at my table, Mickey came by!

I told him a bunch of cities and asked if he’d ever been to them. Mickey has been EVERYWHERE. Even North River, North Dakota, population 55.

I also asked Pluto where he’s been and he hasn’t really been anywhere.

Dale has been to lots of national and state parks, but he seems to avoid big cities. When I asked if he’d ever been to London, he indicated that he’s afraid of airplanes.

And I got to see Minnie again. She was just hanging out at her house yesterday!

Dale and Pluto really liked the horn on my rhino hoodie.

Even though it was time to go, I just couldn’t stop giving the characters a list of places and asking if they’d ever been there. They answered dozens of my questions.

I originally planned to go to California Adventure after breakfast, but it was so rainy and windy, we had to resort to Plan B. So I basically played with the hotel curtains and hung out with Nana and Papa. It was a nice rest day!

EASTSIDERS

Nana and Papa made a visit our way and we took them across the Willamette River to the east side of Portland. Our first stop was a restaurant called the Tin Shed, where we had to wait a long time, even though it was a Thursday.

Then we went to the playground at Laurelhurst Park.

Before heading home, we stopped to see the ducks at the Laurelhurst Duck Pond.

By the end of the day, Chubs was ready for a nap!

THE STRIP

I’ve had a lot of energy lately, so before we headed out for our final day in Nevada, I went outside to run around Nana and Papa’s neighborhood.

Then we went to the Las Vegas Strip to go up the Eiffel Tower.

This is the view when you look straight down!

Then we continued down Las Vegas Boulevard and encountered my favorite part of Vegas – the pedestrian walkways!

The M&M’s store was…okay. But…

…it had four floors of escalators. So it was a win!
