DRAGONS LOVE TACOS

On Valentine’s Day, my kindergarten class got in a big school bus…

…went to the Newmark Theatre in downtown Portland…

…and saw the play, Dragons Love Tacos!

This is what the stage looked like.

This is what we looked like while we waited for everyone to get seated. It was kind of boring.

This is what me and Mommy looked like.

And after the play was over, we got to look out at Broadway while we waited to go back to our bus. (I’m the one in the blue comfy coat because, of course I am.)

NEW YEARS DAY 2020

For New Years Day, we took a little jaunt to Oregon City.

At Black Ink Coffee, we built a bunch of little LEGO creations.

Then we walked to the record store so Daddy could ask someone about getting his record player fixed.

And then I tried to avoid Mommy’s camera, as usual.

OAKS: THE FINAL CHAPTER

Today was my last day at Oaks Amusement Park before they close for the fall and winter.

Goodbye, Scrambler.

Goodbye, Up Up & Away.

Goodbye, Chipper’s Choppers.

Then it started to rain and it was time to run.

Gee, I can’t possibly see why they close all fall and winter…

See ya next spring, Oaks!

OAKS AMUSEMENT PARK VI

Today was my final trip to Oaks Amusement Park before school starts. It was a cool, drizzly day, but I scrambled my brains out on The Scrambler!

I also sat in this Screamin’ Eagle practice seat, just waiting to become 48 inches tall.

Speaking of waiting to become 48 inches tall, I watched Adrenaline Peak go about 100 times before finally heading home.

ALPENROSE DAIRYVILLE

We went to a tiny fake town called Dairyville at a Portland dairy farm called Alpenrose.

There was this wild animal named Daddy who tried to bite me!

Also, I’m not sure if Santa lives here?

Despite my smiles, I actually thought this place was super not fun. But Daddy kept me happy by swinging me around, so I could pretend I was on a rollercoaster!

OAKS AMUSEMENT PARK III

For Mommy’s birthday, I took her out to my favorite place – Oaks, of course!

We tilted and whirled…

…flew a hot air balloon…

…rode the wild ocean…

…and went on a ride we’d never been on – the Rock-O-Plane!

Oh, yeah, and I continued to fantasize about the day I’m 48 inches tall and get to ride Adrenaline Peak!

SEASIDE, OREGON

Grandpa wanted to go to the Ham Radio Convention in the coastal town of Seaside. So, while he and Daddy went there, Mommy and I hit the beach!

The first thing I noticed was a swing set!

Then it was time to dig to “the void.”

I also wanted to get my feet wet, but I was kind of scared of the cold water.

But I did it and spent the next hour running away from waves!

Here’s a video of me running away from those waves:

OAKS AMUSEMENT PARK

Ever since we got back from Disneyland, I’ve been dreaming about going to Oaks Amusement Park in Portland. I put this day in Mommy’s calendar and, even though it was rainy, I wasn’t going to miss it!

Here I am on Up, Up, & Away!

And looking tough on Chipper’s Choppers.

As the rain started to come down, I went up on the ferris wheel…

…and saw Daddy way, way down there. Do you see him with his hands in the air?

We went under cover on the Oaks Park Train and Daddy pretended that he wasn’t soaking wet.

This was my favorite ride – Sky Fighters!

The last ride of the day was Go Karts. By this time, I was a soaking wet sponge. Despite my glum face, I rated this as my second favorite ride!

All in all, a successful day!
