KENNYWOOD

Next, we headed to West Mifflin, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh, to go to Kennywood!

We rode both sides of Racer, an amazing woodie…

…an appropriately named flat ride called Whip…

…the super fun Turtle, the last operating ride of its kind…

…and, of course, much much more, including this over-100-year-old wooden coaster, Jack Rabbit. It was very fun, but it’s double down was not as intense as I’d heard.

IDLEWILD & SOAKZONE

Right after DelGrosso’s, we headed over to Idlewild in Ligonier, PA. They’re both small parks, so we could do them both in one day!

Fun fact: We were actually supposed to go to a 3rd park called Lakemont. But when we went, ALL THREE of their roller coasters were CLOSED.

Oops…Mom caught me with her camera, so I had to run away, as usual.

Here’s my video recap for our short trip there:

KNOEBELS AMUSEMENT RESORT

Knoebels is a family-owned, almost-100-year-old park, and it was fantastic!

The wooden coaster, Phoenix, was amaaaaazing! There was so much air time, I can’t believe I was even allowed to ride that thing.

Here is a video account of all the rides we did. Important note: I said I liked Twister in the beginning of the video, but by the end of the video, I changed my mind. I DO NOT LIKE TWISTER.

KENJI & HANUKKAH NIGHT 4

It was another amazing day with Kenji and Sakura! We woke up early and hit the ground running.

A little Sakura trivia: she loves the harmonica.

We went to Nana and Papa’s house for an early Christmas celebration.

Then we went home and lit the candles for the fourth night of Hanukkah.

THE K-STORM

Kenji visited and we immediately got into action mode. We played “Fight for the End,” built roller coasters, and made tie-dye shirts.

Then the next day, we went to Oaks and had the best time ever!

Finally, on our last day, we went to the park and had fun on the basketball court. It’s always the best time when the K-Storm visits!

ENCHANTED FOREST & PORTLAND MAVERICKS

We went down to Salem, Oregon to enjoy rides at Enchanted Forest AND watch a Portland Mavericks baseball game!

We didn’t finish all the rides at Enchanted Forest yet, but the Mavericks were starting their game, so we had to go.

The coolest part of the game was that one of the players gave me a ball!

Of course, then we had to go BACK to Enchanted Forest to ride more rides!

Here’s a view of Mommy and I on the roller coaster, Ice Mountain Bobsled. It was a busy, but great day!

FLORIDA COASTER TOUR!

I went on my first ever coaster tour! It was the best time of my life! We went to five amusement parks (Busch Gardens Tampa, LEGOLand Florida, Fun Spot Kissimmee, SeaWorld Orlando, and Universal’s Islands of Adventure) and I rode eleven new roller coasters!

My favorite park, by far, was LEGOLand. And staying in the hotel is a must. It was so much fun.

Of course, the park was awesome, too! There were lots of fun rides, including my favorite coaster, Flying School. I rode it 10 times! There was also a water park, LEGO creations everywhere, and tons of LEGO to build with.

And here’s Daddy and I just goofing around in front of a mural at our Universal Studios hotel.

Check out this video to see more stuff we did!

PRIMARY SCHOOL PLAYGROUND TOUR, PART 2

We continued our primary school playground tour, starting with my very own (and very favorite), Cedaroaks!

I showed Mommy and Daddy how I like to hang on the monkey bars and then drop down.

I also really love the swings.

But probably my very favorite is the play structure.

Then we went a little down the road to Bolton Primary. Those poor children don’t have a very good playground. But I still had a fun time. (And our last school, Stafford Primary, had their playground locked. Maybe we’ll try next weekend!)
