I’ve been sick and missed a couple of days of school. But I’m very busy studying the New York City subway map and drawing a subway map for Mommies.

PUMPKIN CARVING
We carved the pumpkins I got at the pumpkin patch! I sketched out their faces on paper so Mommy would know how to carve them.
LOUNGE “CHAIR”
This is a Teeter Popper, but I’ve repurposed it as lounge furniture.
BIG HAT
Daddy is making a short movie with his judo sensei. He bought this hat as a prop. I look pretty good in it, huh?
HOUSE PAINTERS
Our whole townhouse complex is getting painted and I like to watch the painters doing their jobs.
ICE CREAM CAKE
This is my invention! I call it “Ice Cream Cake.”
Here is the recipe:
- Lay down the graham cracker.
- Put blueberries on top of the graham cracker.
- Put whipped cream over blueberries.
- Stir the jam.
- Put the jam over the whipped cream.
- Sprinkle cinnamon on the jam.
- Put lemon strawberry sauce over the cinnamon.
- Place the chocolate on the lemon strawberry sauce.
- Put the vanilla ice cream over the chocolate.
- Put the graham cracker over the vanilla ice cream.
- Turn it over.
- Eat!

AT HOME WITH KENJI
Before we went to the farm yesterday, Kenji and I turned letters and numbers into robots with my Alpha-Bots.
And when we got back home, it was time to protect the homestead with our water shooters.
I was also determined to be able to pick up Kenji.
But it just devolved into a group hug.
Before Kenji left this morning, we noticed he and Daddy were wearing matching shirts! It was fun having you here, Little Captain America!
PEA HARVEST
Our pea plant has peas! I ate two of them!
GARDEN ROUNDUP
The deck garden is coming along nicely!
From the left, we have:
- Snap peas (one seed we got from the library grew into that big plant!)
- African daisies I picked out at the nursery
- Lavender (my favorite!)
- Tomatoes (yuuuuuuckkkkk)
- Mystery flower I planted for Mommy as a Mother’s Day gift
- Pumpkins (we got those seeds in the Burgeville kids meal!)
FATHER’S DAY 2019
I made Daddy a Father’s Day card and showed him all the cool drawings I put in it.
Then we went to a record store in Oregon City and found a record with “It’s A Small World” on it! With the Father’s Day discount, it cost $1. It was a Father’s Day miracle!
Then we went home, put the record on, and danced through that whole wonderful chorus.
