We had a break in the rain today, so we went out to the path behind our house for a little walk. I’ve become quite the outdoorsman!

Today we left Seattle to come back home, but enjoyed a little morning time with Kenji.

Kenji is my favorite cousin, so I gave him a little kiss.

Kenji really liked his birthday balloons!

Bye, Kenji. See you again soon!

Today was the eclipse! From our deck in West Linn, Oregon, we had 99.2% obscuration. Not bad!

We also watched the eclipse watchers down at the park behind our house. This was at totality, which means the sun is super strong! Even with 99.2% obscuration, it didn’t get that dark.

Daddy, Mommy, and I decided to go into New York City for a few hours and met up with my old friend, Seth!

While Daddy was busy using the restroom, I was busy looking bad to the bone in front of the diner we ate lunch at.

Then we went on the subway and it was SUPER AWESOME.

Then we went on the Roosevelt Island Tramway because I love aerial trams and I’ve been watching videos and looking at pictures and fantasizing about riding this tram. And it was even MORE AWESOME THAN THE SUBWAY.

Eventually, we had to leave the tram. Here is Mommy’s and my reflection in a window of Dylan’s Candy Store.

It was fun hanging out, NYC!

On the way to Grandma and Grandpa’s house in New York, we stopped by the Rhinebeck Aerodrome and met up with Amy and Jon. Even though it was a billion degrees out, it was super fun.

Yesterday was our last day in New Hampshire before we set off for New York.
My favorite part of the day was flying the gliders Grandpa got me!

We also went to King Arthur Flour where I turned wheat berries into flour. That was also super fun. I now want a mill.

Then we went to a bookstore that had a cool little tiny house outside. I had fun, New Hampshire!

We went to a small airport in Lebanon, New Hampshire and I saw a private jet take off and a helicopter student practicing their flying.

We also went into the terminal and pretended we were private jet bigwigs.

On my first full day in Grantham, I went kayaking for the first time! We packed the sand bucket, monster truck, and toy boat for the beach, but once I got in the kayak, it’s all I wanted to do.

We also went out to eat a couple of times. This is me and Uncle Mike during breakfast.

And here’s me and Grandma relaxing before dinner.

After we landed in Boston, we stayed the night at a hotel so that we could go to LEGOLAND! Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Mike drove down to meet us there and we had an awesome time.

It was America’s birthday! To celebrate, we hit the beach again – but this time, the one that’s only 10 minutes away on the Willamette River.

Chubs liked this one a lot more because it was actually warm and sunny.

It was time to get down to the business of building a LEGO river boat.

Will it float???

YES!!!

Even Chubs was excited!

On the walk back to the car, I found a big stick!

USA! USA! USA! Land of big sticks!
