CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

It was a day later than planned, but we made it to Disney’s other park, California Adventure. I was a little bit excited.

Of course, I consulted the map and devised a plan.

My very favorite ride was the Silly Symphony Swings.

My second favorite ride was Jumpin’ Jellyfish.

I also got to see the Green Army Men Parade…

…and this cool fancy bridge that goes from Paradise Gardens Park to Pacific Wharf.

Before the day was through, I also rode on Pixar Pal-A-Round, Goofy’s Sky School, Golden Zephyr, Radiator Springs Racers, and Soarin’ Around the World.

By mid-afternoon, I was pooped and ready to close the books on my wonderful two days at Disney.

Here are my FastPasses for Radiator Springs Racers at California Adventure and Space Mountain at Disneyland:

DISNEYLAND

I went to Disneyland for the very first time and it was the best thing ever!

It’s a Small World was my first ride. I’m the one in the red raincoat, my uniform for the day.

Then it was time to run through the rain to the next ride…

…Dumbo the Flying Elephant. One of my favorites, I rode it three times.

Then it was off to Mickey’s Toontown to ride my very first roller coaster, Gadget’s Go Coaster.

I was very excited.

But then…they closed it for technical difficulties right before I could get on. My first roller coaster would have to wait.

So I went to Minnie’s house to meet Minnie Mouse!

I asked her if she remembered my friend, Elle, from school. And she said yes!

Then it was off to Finding Nemo’s Submarine Voyage…

…and Star Tours, where I got to wear cool 3D glasses.

I was still waiting to ride my first roller coaster. So I just took the plunge and made it Space Mountain! I took it like a champ.

Then dreams came true when the ride I was most excited about finally opened up after being temporarily closed because of the rain – Mad Tea Party!

Before the night was done, I also rode on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Peter Pan’s Flight, Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh.

Then I finally said goodnight, soaked and tired.

Here’s the ticket to my first trip to Disneyland!

BIRTHDAY AFTER PARTY

On the day after my birthday, I was feeling a bit better – well enough to visit Tongva Park and its awesome roller slide!

It also had this cool rock climbing thing.

And another great set of slides.

There was also this spinny thing where I practiced for the Mad Tea Party ride I want to go on at Disneyland.

Mommy and I climbed up this yellow thing.

And Aunt Sarah took a picture of us so that we’d have an actual family photo!

SICKS(TH) BIRTHDAY

We celebrated my 6th birthday in Los Angeles with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah. But I was still sick! So we had a nice, low-key celebration.

First, on the way to breakfast, we drove on CA-90 just like I wanted to. It was the road I was most excited for!

Then, back at the apartment we’re staying at, Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah hid my birthday presents and I went on a search for them.

And I found one!

And I found the other one! Thank you for the gifts, Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah!

Then it was time to rest because I was pooped.

But a birthday wouldn’t be a birthday without a celebratory cake. As requested, I had three candles. (I never want the candles to match my age. It’s just a thing.)

NEW YEAR’S DAY 2019

For New Year’s Day, we headed to the big city. (That’s Portland.)

Mommy and Daddy always want to go to coffee shops. I liked this one, though, because we got to sit at the bar and watch people make coffee.

Then we walked around a little and saw the longest train ever! All in all, a quality day.

CHRISTMAS 2018

At the crack of dawn (ha ha, just kidding, the sun hadn’t risen yet), I rushed down to the living room to open my Christmas presents.

Somehow, I wore pajamas that looked exactly like my wrapping paper.

But whatever, it was time to open presents! And I did so at lightning speed.

Thanks to Santa, Mommy and Daddy, Nana and Papa, Grandma and Grandpa, and Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah for all the cool gifts!

Then it was time for my daily walk across the back of the couch.

Then I was quickly bored.

Until I remembered that I love my cardboard tunnel.

And watching Nick Offerman drink whisky on TV was fun, too.

Eventually, Mommy and Daddy proposed we go outside for a little walk. I agreed, as long as I didn’t have to put on clothes. Merry Christmas, everyone!

MORE EARLY CHRISTMAS & FINAL NIGHT OF HANUKKAH

Aunt Lisa mixed up Kenji’s animals during the night, so Kenji had to fix them right away.

Did you know that Kenji really likes balloons?

I opened my gifts from the Taylor’s, which included this great book about the 50 states.

It had a whole bunch of facts about every state, all the state flags, capitals, and American presidents. Thanks, Taylor’s!

Kenji got some cool Disney cars, which he liked a lot. He reminds me of me when I was two!

Then we decorated some cookies. We are obviously naturals.

It was also the final night of Hanukkah. After sundown, I mustered up all of my concentration to light all eight candles.

From Mom and Dad, I got a book about a dinosaur named…Dexter!

And from Grandma and Grandpa, I got a spirograph set! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa, for the gifts all Hanukkah long!

Then when it was time to go to bed, I found Kenji cuddling with Hugs. She is so loved…

HANUKKAH & EARLY CHRISTMAS WITH KENJI

We went up to Seattle and had an early Christmas celebration with Kenji. He found his gift almost immediately and wanted to open it right away. It was a set of mix-and-match animal parts and he wasted no time getting to the business of assembling them.

It was also the 7th night of Hanukkah, so I opened my gift from Grandma and Grandpa. It was a Hot Wheels race track! Daddy assembled it and Kenji and I raced our cars.

HANUKKAH 2018: DAYS 4-6

On Day 4 of Hanukkah, I gave Daddy a present (an awesome drawing by me!) and opened a present from Grandma and Grandpa (a bunch of cool bendy straws!).

Then on Day 5, I got a cool set of magnetic letters and dry erase markers. Daddy seems pretty excited about them!

And on Day 5, I got a game called Zingo. I play this at school!
