WISH LIST

Before I got sick, I dictated an 8-page wish list to Santa Claus, Hanukkah Harry and the Birthday Bunny. I’ve included an excerpt of it below.

In a word, I want…PLANES.

Luckily, no little elves have to work sleepless nights building these toys. They can just go to Amazon and buy them off my Wish List!

STILL NOT WELL

After Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah left, I stole their bed for napping.

By the way, Uncle Mike and Aunt Sarah visited over the weekend. I’m sorry I didn’t get to spend any time with them. Thank you for taking care of my fur brother, Chubs, while we went to the emergency room. I’m excited to show you my planes next time we see each other.

DOERNBECHER EMERGENCY ROOM

After days of not eating, not drinking enough, sleeping around the clock, complaining about chest and stomach pains, and – gasp! – not caring about airplanes, I found myself in the emergency room of Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. I can’t say it was the most fun 6 hours of my life. But I’m a trooper and the toughest kid around.

STOMACH BUG

I haven’t been feeling myself for the past few days – no appetite, chest and stomach pains, and mega exhaustion. Mommy took me to the doctor yesterday and he warned that there was a stomach bug going around. Well, a couple hours later, it became clear I had it.

Don’t you think I was a super trooper for going through with my developmental evaluation while feeling so miserable the other day? Mommy and Daddy think so!

DEVELOPMENTAL EVALUATION

Yesterday was my big developmental evaluation at the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. I’ve been on the waiting list for months and the day was finally here! And it was…so boring. Four hours of questions and “games” with a developmental pediatrician and speech language pathologist. And there was almost no talk of airplanes!

I was told I get to come back for another round in a few weeks with an occupational therapist and psychologist. Sounds like a party. 😐
