HANUKKAH FINALE

Tonight was the grand finale of Hanukkah 2017. Here’s a rundown of the last few nights:

For night 4, Grandma and Grandpa got me a floor puzzle of the United States and I immediately make sure Oregon is there, safe and sound.

I’ve been kind of obsessed with babies lately, especially baby girls. So for night 5, Mommy and Daddy got me a doll, who I immediately named Hugs (she’s the baby girl who lives on Mommies). I take really good care of her.

On night 6, I got another airplane of an airline I don’t have yet – Allegiant!

On night 7, I got a jumbo road atlas. I already have a four-month road trip planned out that I informed Mommy and Daddy I want to take when I’m 5 years old, almost 6.

On night 8, it was time to set the firetruck menorah ablaze! I also got an indoor trampoline to help me get rid of the excess energy I have these days. Daddy and I are going to set it up tomorrow. Thank you again, Grandma and Grandpa, for the great gifts!

THINGS I SAY #69

Sometimes I write words or numbers backwards. Mommy let me know that one of the things I wrote was going from right to left.

Me: Wellllllll……it’s Hanukkah, sooooo……I wanted to write it like Hebrew.

HANUKKAH 2017

Hanukkah is upon us, y’all!

Check out this super cool Cessna airplane toy I got on the first night.

Last night, I got a really neat atlas with fun facts about the 50 American states (did you know there’s a vacuum museum in Portland???) and, most importantly – MAPS!

Then tonight, I got two more airplane toys (Alaska Airlines and WestJet!), proving you can never have too many airplane toys.

Thanks for the fun gifts, Grandma and Grandpa!

SANTA CLAUS

The Autism Society of Oregon set up a sensory-friendly Santa experience. No music or camera flashes! (They GET me).

Still, there was no way I was going to look at the camera lady. (You can’t just trust a total stranger.)

Instead of asking for toys, I got down to the important business of asking Santa what airlines he’s been on. He said North Pole Airlines. What?? Never heard of that one…and I’ve heard of ’em all.

I also let him know all of the roads we drove on to come see him.

Then it was off to the craft table to make a cool ornament. Thanks, Santa!

THINGS I SAY #68

Mommy is admiring my lovely hair.

Mommy: Where’d you get all this hair???

Me: At Safeway. I went in the door, through the pharmacy, got some Zantac, went north down an aisle, then turned east, and there was the hair.

CROSS PARK BRIDGE

While driving on I-205 last week, I noticed a walking bridge out in the distance. As soon as I got home, I had to find it on Google Maps and then find a time to go hunt it down. Today was the day!

ZOOLIGHTS

Yesterday, we went to the Oregon Zoo to see their annual Christmas light extravaganza, ZooLights.

But first…had to check out this awesome bridge! (I love bridges.)

Then it was time to hit the carousel, one of my favorites.

It finally got dark enough for the lights to turn on…

Then on to my other favorite – the zoo train!

Added bonus: Supermoon!
