LAUNCHING THE KAYAK

Today we walked down through the forest to the edge of Grandma and Grandpa’s property, where a kayak was waiting for us.

I was all outfitted and ready to go!

First I went with Mommy…

…then with Daddy. I helped both of them paddle.

When we were finished kayaking, I helped Grandma make brownies. My job was to stir the batter 50 times!

CROSSING THE CONNECTICUT RIVER

We crossed over to Vermont to visit the Montshire Museum of Science on a rainy day.

My favorite things there were the spinning table…

…a ball floating on a gust of air…

…and the elevator, of course.

Then we headed back to New Hampshire to visit Left Bank Books, just as we do every year. My favorite part was the stairs.

LAZY NEW HAMPSHIRE DAY

You know there’s nothing I love more than a lazy day. And I got to have one on our first full day in New Hampshire.

(Actually, first I got to drop pins with Daddy! That’s when I pick a spot on Google Maps and Daddy drives there. Then we do it again. And again… It’s my favorite game.)

But the rest of the day was lazy! First, I checked out the “Harry Potter room” upstairs.

Then I drove my car around the house quite a bit.

And then outside later to admire Grandma’s deck garden.

NEW HAMPSHIRE BOUND

Today I got on a plane to New Hampshire! I was pretty excited.

But first, of course, we had to be delayed for two hours. I am a total veteran when it comes to airplane delays. When it happens, I just run around the airport.

But we eventually got on the plane, yeah!

Goodbye, Mt. Hood and the other mountains behind you.

Once we got flying, it was time to get down to LEGO building and drawing, which took the bulk of the trip (excluding my four trips to the bathroom).

Hello, Boston!

Speaking of Boston, here’s a little video of me running around the airport while we waited for the thunderstorms to clear up over there.

THINGS I SAY #74

Mommy is trying to put me to bed, but I’m having a hard time sleeping.

It is 9:15 pm.

Me: I’m starting to get sleepy. I’ll be asleep soon.

It is 9:30pm.

Me: I’m falling asleep.

A pause.

Me: I’m asleep.

A pause.

Me: I’m dreaming of stripes.

MASTERPIECES: COATS EDITION

Daddy and I have a running joke that he doesn’t like stripes, so all I do these days is draw coats with stripes on them, just to make him crazy. I don’t know why I love drawing coats so much. But I do.

DECK LIFE

Our deck is a scorcher in the afternoon, so I only go out wearing Mommy’s deck sandals. (I have my own, but why would I wear those??)

Just hanging out with Hugs on the deck stairs. Perhaps, I will one day set foot in our yard. We’ll see…
