IT’S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I TOLD YOU ABOUT MOMMIES
Here are more things about my imaginary world of Mommies:
- Hugs has a doll named Indianapolis.
- Violet, one of Hugs’ mommies, steals bikes for a living.
- The Love Islands are a series of islands off the coast of Mommies. They include: Love Island, Diarrhea Island, and Cholera Island. (Cholera Island might not sound like a nice place to live, but the houses are cute and free, so…)
- Mommies has an amusement park called Huggy Poo. Rides include: Hug-a-Coaster, Comfy Swings, Ulcer, Scary Space Explorer, Huggy Poo Spin Wheel, and Scary Adventures of Cute Things.
- I used to play goat milk for the Diarrhea Perspectives, but never for the Hawaii Camera Flash Freak Outs.
THINGS I SAY #76
Me: Mommy, I want your phone. I want to look at pictures of stomach ulcers.
COLOR ME MINE ADDICT
Guess who was excited to paint some more pottery!
LAST FIRST DAY
It’s my last first day at Cherry Hills! I’m the old veteran around here, so I’ll show the young whippersnappers how we do things.
BIG BITE
PORTLAND SPIRIT
For Labor Day, we went on a boat!
But first, I was distracted by this cool bench made from a bathtub.
Then we went on a boat – the Portland Spirit!
First, we had lunch and I had to save my Smiley Potato from jumping off the bread.
But enough of lunch, it was time to get outside and see some bridges!
The Marquam!
Tilikum Crossing!
The USS Blueback parked in front of OMSI! (Not a bridge, but cool anyway!)
After some fun, though, it was time for me to get to the wheelhouse and captain the ship for a while.
Then it was time to say goodbye to the seas (actually, the Willamette River)…
…and head back to port.
SATURDAY OUTING
Before Labor Day, we headed to Lake Oswego for a new (to us) breakfast joint called Chuck’s.
As you can see, waiting is so fun.
Mommy asked me to smile for the camera, so I did…
Much more fun was walking along this narrow ledge. I am a self-proclaimed “dare devil.”
And even more fun was sliding down this mega slide at Sahallie Illahee Park in West Linn!
THE OREGON TRAIL
This is a pretty cool, weird game. I like it mostly for the map and getting to name the travelers.
FINAL MUSIC IN THE PARK
As the summer comes to a close, so too does the weekly Music in the Park event. We came, we saw, we enjoyed the rocking tunes of Petty Fever.
I love getting balloons at outdoor festivals. It is the highlight of my summer.
