Just dancing in an empty parking lot…
EYE EXAM
Yesterday, I visited my optometrist, Dr. Max. My glasses and vision therapy are helping me to be less sensitive to light and motion.
MORNING WRITING
Daddy likes to write in the morning before work. This morning, I joined him.
LEE FARMS III
For the third year in a row, I went to Lee Farms with my school for our fall field trip. You can check out my last two years here and here.
As a pumpkin patch veteran, I prepared myself for the tour.
It was a gloriously damp day and I had lots of fun jumping in puddles.
I learned that these greenish pumpkins are the best for making pumpkin pie.
Then, for some reason, we were all drawn to tap this big inflatable pumpkin.
In years past, the animals were my least favorite part of the tour. I’ve never been a fan of farms or zoos. But this year, I was actually kind of interested. There were baby cows…
…horses…
…and goats. This mama goat gave me the staredown.
And this little baby goat crawled down his ramp all the way home.
The chickens were stinky.
And finally, it was time to get down to the business of picking out a pumpkin.
Thanks, Lee Farms, for another fun day!
HIT SONGS IN MOMMIES
Here are some of the hit songs on the radio in Mommies right now:
- “Rotating Monkey” by Harvey Metter & The Stripes
- “I Don’t GoLytely” by Nia Metter & The Portlands
- “Lunch Landen” by Landen & The Landens
TIRED MORNINGS
Usually, I’m an early riser. But after the nights when I can’t seem to sleep, mornings come too soon.
AYAKA’S BIRTHDAY PARTY
Ayaka, a girl from my school, had a birthday party and I went!
I even ate a little bit of a strawberry.
And played with her and Addison at the playground.
And I just really like this slide!
FALL HAIRDO
It was that time again for me to get a hair chop!
I took a selfie in the car because I thought I looked cool like my Pre-K buddy, Wesley.
SKY’S THE LIMIT
The Autism Society of Oregon organized a cool event with Alaska Airlines so that me and a bunch of other kids could go on a real airplane and taxi around PDX!
I loved all of it, as usual – walking through the airport, going through security, standing on the moving walkways…
There was even a playground by our gate!
That red rectangle on my lanyard means, “don’t even think about taking my picture.” I wish that would work in real life.
747 spotting! Do you see it back there?
That’s our plane, a 737-800.
I impressed Noah, an Alaska Airlines pilot, with my airplane knowledge.
Then it was time to taxi!
It was a short “flight,” and then it was time to exit…
…but not without talking on the intercom first.
Afterwards, Daddy and I did silly walks on the moving walkway.
Another successful day at the airport!
