We went up to Seattle and had an early Christmas celebration with Kenji. He found his gift almost immediately and wanted to open it right away. It was a set of mix-and-match animal parts and he wasted no time getting to the business of assembling them.
It was also the 7th night of Hanukkah, so I opened my gift from Grandma and Grandpa. It was a Hot Wheels race track! Daddy assembled it and Kenji and I raced our cars.
On Day 4 of Hanukkah, I gave Daddy a present (an awesome drawing by me!) and opened a present from Grandma and Grandpa (a bunch of cool bendy straws!).
Then on Day 5, I got a cool set of magnetic letters and dry erase markers. Daddy seems pretty excited about them!
And on Day 5, I got a game called Zingo. I play this at school!
For the third night of Hanukkah, I got a squiggle pen! It vibrates, which makes the lines that I draw all squiggly.
Surrounded by my robot army, I lit the menorah for the second night.
Then I opened my present – Connect 4!
My favorite thing is to drop a bunch of the discs in the slots real fast.
It’s the first night of Hanukkah and I have the menorah lighting duties!
After lighting the menorah, I got right to opening my present from Grandma and Grandpa.
It was a box of numbers that transform into robots!
Daddy and I spent some time making a little robot army. Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!

I’m getting to be a pro at these early morning departures from Boston back to home.
Thanks for having us, Grandma and Grandpa! And for driving us to the airport in the middle of the night!
On the day before Thanksgiving, we headed to The Barn Cafe in Claremont, NH. Grandpa owns this building with his buddy, Gene. And Josh, the cafe’s owner, turned it into a friendly little place.
But, most importantly…we found out which way it is to Vermont!
On Thanksgiving Day, I went out in the snow and braved the cold. (It was REALLY cold.)
And on our last day before leaving, we visited Gene in Claremont and he put me to work in his drafting office.
Hello again, airport! Just a little excited to see airplanes all around me as I head east to see Grandma and Grandpa for Thanksgiving.
As is often the case, I just decide I’m going to say hello to the pilots before I board. And no one ever stops me!
Goodbye, Cascade Mountains.
