OAKS BOTTOM WILDLIFE REFUGE

We went to the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge to find more bugs!

I love finding ants and having them crawl all over me.

It was a really pretty place and we saw critters in the water, had snacks, found holes that someone probably lived in, and caught and examined bugs in my bug box.

And, by the way, you may have noticed it’s called Oaks Bottom. Well, it just so happens to have a view of Oaks Amusement Park!

HIKING WITH PHOENIX

We went on a hike with the family of one of Mommy’s friends. And that included their son, Phoenix. He’s a few years older than me. He looooves hiking. And I love looking for bugs. And we found some, including this really cool centipede pictured below.

MARY S. YOUNG BUG HUNT

I went on a bug and creature hunt with Aliah and Cayah at Mary S. Young Park. We always see a lot there. This time, I had ants crawling all over me (which I love!) and we found a newt, a bunch of huge millipedes, cool looking snails, and a lot more. I brought my book of Pacific Northwest bugs to identify them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NANA!

It was Nana’s birthday, and the Taylor gang came down for the occasion! Yay!

We made letters to create a cool “Happy Birthday” sign.

And we made birthday cupcakes.

And then Nana arrived and we celebrated her latest trip around the sun! Happy birthday, Nana!
