HANUKKAH 2020 – NIGHTS 5 & 6

It was the fifth night of Hanukkah and would you just look at that steady hand?

I got to open up a gift of delicious chocolate truffles. One of my favorite things about a box of chocolates is the map that tells you what’s in each one!

On the sixth night, I started wondering if my space shuttle would take off with all that fire power!

I also opened up my first gift whose contents were a mystery to me even after I opened it! Grandma and Grandpa sent me the Osmo gaming system. I’ll have lots of time to learn it when winter break starts next week!

HANUKKAH 2020 – NIGHTS 3 & 4

By the third night of Hanukkah, I became a candle lighting master.

Also a present-opening master! I got a cat journal and a big box of markers.

I loved seeing all of the colors listed on the box of markers…

…and tested them all in my new cat journal.

Then on the next night, I got a couple of books that I had previously checked out at the library and loved, including “They All Saw a Cat!”

HANUKKAH 2020 – NIGHTS 1 & 2

It’s officially holiday season! How do you like the new menorah I picked out? The firetruck menorah I had since I was a baby fell apart last year, so its successor is a space shuttle!

For the first night, Daddy and Mommy got me a book about football for Hanukkah because I’ve been curious about the rules of the game.

And Grandma and Grandpa got me a calendar of adorable kittens.

How much do I love kittens???

Then for the second night, Grandma and Grandpa got me a book of Lego contraptions.

I jumped around while Daddy got the box of Legos open. Thank you for the gifts everyone!

PLANET OF THE CATS

All of a sudden, the cats started fighting a whole bunch and Sunnie spent her days hiding under the bed again.

We think it’s because Mommy cleaned the living room and it was too big and spacious. So we re-filled it with boxes, baskets, and a puzzle feeder and now they’re (almost) friends again.

CAT-PROOF CHRISTMAS TREE

Because we have two crazy kittens (well, one particularly crazy kitten – Finley!), we didn’t get a regular Christmas tree this year.

Instead, we bought a tiny living Christmas tree that we’ll keep for years and years. But I still decorated it!

Finley was still interested in the tiny tree!

It’s a pretty little tree, huh?

PORTLAND DAY

I’ve been trapped at home for so long, I really wanted to go to Portland and have a big day.

First, I wanted to go to Forest Park and hike to the Witch’s Castle.

After walking for almost a mile, we found it!

Then we had to walk back up to go to our next stop.

We ordered some food from Burgerville and went to Peninsula Park to have our lunch.

This is usually a big rose garden so it looked kind of weird to have a field of dead roses. But I liked running around the edge of it.

It was a fun day! We even ended it by picking up some donuts! (I got chocolate frosted.)

DRAWINGS FOR SCHOOL & NOT SCHOOL

I get to do a lot of drawings at school. Ms. Murphy is really good at doing drawing tutorials. Here is my drawing of a healthcare hero. I named her Dr. Julianna.

This is how I imagine my “Magical Yet.” She’s kind of like a fairy who helps me eventually do things that I don’t know how to do…yet.

We often watch videos from a website called Scratch Garden. They are so funny and I love them. One of the characters is a beaker that Ms. Murphy taught us how to draw. I also gave him a beaker friend.

This is what a Cat Ball field looks like. Your goal is to get the ball past the Finley Line.

P=Pitcher. A=Against Maker. L & R = Left and Right. Y=Yowler.

My favorite YouTuber is Anna Akana. She is famous for making the music video, “I Have 6 Cats.”

Speaking of 6 cats…

THINGS I SAY #83

Mommy and I were making chocolate bread in the bread machine, and during the kneading process, we added chocolate chips. So we ended up with a little dough ball with chocolate chips stuck all around it.

Me: Aww, it looks like a little coronavirus bread!
