We went to the Really Really Free Market at Gateway Park in Portland and that park was super cool!

My favorite thing was to slide down the hill in a cardboard box. I’m definitely going back there.

I went out to the backyard to do some bug hunting! We have lots of leaves and stones to uncover, so we knew it would be a promising place.
Almost immediately, I found a centipede!
Then look, it was a pill bug!
It rolled up in my hand when I picked it up.
Rolling over rocks is a good way to find some bugs.
Millipede! You might not want to pick them up if you don’t want to experience pain. They can release a toxin that irritates skin. I learned that the hard way.
Snail finding!
We uncovered paving stones that had tons of worms and snails.
And this green stink bug!
We’ve seen lots of brown ones, but this was our first green one.
Why was I so excited here?
Because I found newts! NEWTS! These were under a rock in the park across the street.
I mean, how cool are these?
I found out later that they release a toxin, as well. It’s not painful, but wash your hands after you hold them! And definitely don’t eat them.
Then I found the baby! Wow, what a super successful bug hunting expedition!
Kenji and I went to the Great Wolf Lodge, a water park and all-around fun kid place in Washington!
For a while, we couldn’t stop pretending we were wolves.
We went to the arcade and Kenji won tons of tickets on one of the games.
I found the beds to be really comfy.
And while we waited for our pizza dinner, Kenji and I discovered this ancient relic called a telephone.
Here’s a video of even more stuff we did! It was super fun!
I made it all the way down this long hill!
It’s Christmas, and here I am patiently waiting and smiling.
Now let the present opening begin!
Among many awesome things I got, like games, clothes, books, and fake poop…I also got this rocking chair that should keep me pretty busy.
Weeeee! Thank you, everyone!
Oh, and here is Finley just relaxing…
…And Sunnie curious about Finley’s Christmas present.
We’re on a road trip to Idaho! But first, we have to get through eastern Washington. We found a rest stop with cows.
And, best of all, I found a tiny town called Finley! Of course, we had to stop and check it out.
Also, Snapchat filters come in really handy when you’re on a long drive!
I like to take Mommy’s phone and make videos of myself.
Kenji and I went to Wild Waves Theme and Water Park! I was sooooo excited!!! The first ride I went on was The Wild Thing roller coaster. It had a vertical loop and two corkscrews. It was great, and also my first Arrow Corkscrew.
Then I went on Timberhawk: Ride of Prey, an S&S Sansei wooden coaster. It was so fun, I went on it 3 times. It’s my new favorite coaster!
Here’s Mommy and I riding in the front row before our first ride.
Here’s a video of my off-ride reaction!
After riding the 48″ and up rides, I found Kenji in the water park and he came with me to ride some more rides!
His first ride there was Kiddie Coaster, a Zamperla Tornado powered coaster, one of only four still operating in the world.
Then Kenji rode with Daddy on the ferris wheel.
We also went on what I believe is the worst carousel in the world.
But Frog Hopper was so fun!
So was Red Baron! I’m flying in the red bi-plane and Kenji is in the white one behind me.
That’s a wrap on Wild Waves. It’s my new favorite amusement park I’ve ever been to!
I went to Oaks again! As you can see, I am officially 48″ tall, which means I can go on a lot more rides.
And guess what??? I went on Adrenaline Peak! I was super scared, but super brave. It was my first inverting coaster (three inversions, actually!) and past vertical drop.
This is me on Adrenaline Peak! Who wants to go with me next time?
Another new one I can ride has become my very favorite: Disk-O! I went on it 3 times.
I also went on Rock and Roll…
…and an oldie but goodie, Chipper’s Choppers. Plus a bunch of others. It was an awesome day! I can’t wait to go again!
Today was opening day at Oaks Amusement Park! I’ve been waiting for this day since the last time I was there on closing day in 2019. I was so excited!
