Mommy and I went to Elk Rock Island in Milwaukie, Oregon with a group of other kids. But while the other kids wanted to hike around the rocks, this river boy needed to put his feet in the water.
I brought my LEGO seaplane with me to see if it could really float.
It could!
Before we left, we said goodbye to this Mommy and baby duck who were hanging out with us.
For Father’s Day, we headed to the Willamette River! Dad and I enjoyed wading in the water and looking at the boats, paddle boards, and fun inflatables (unicorns are very popular this year!).
Chubs enjoyed himself, too.
Then it was off to Baskin-Robbins for some ice cream. None of that Salt & Straw nonsense for MY dad!
Yesterday was my last therapy appointment for a couple of months. I think I’m ready for a summer break!
Mommy and I went adventuring with some friends to Beacon Rock in Stevenson, Washington. These 5-year-old legs walked to the top of a big ol’ rock 848 feet into the sky!
The best parts of the hike were when the path made an “overpass” over another path.
Sometimes I needed a milk break.
Mommy’s friend, Aliah, told me about the little islands in the Columbia River.

After walking for an eternity, we finally made it to the top.
I told Aliah that the monsters on my knees are named Rocco and Taco.
Aliah’s daughter, Cay, is a squirrel whisperer.
I was happy to get back to solid ground after walking back down to the forest.
Mommy and I celebrated. We did it!
It’s summer vacation! So I went to the airport.
I went to Annabel’s house to play again, but her older brother Oliver was there so I played with him, too! (He’s 7 and Annabel is 4.) They recently moved here from New Zealand, but they had this great map of America and the interstates.
Oliver also showed me the fort he made.
And I had to check out the tunnel that he and Annabel share.
Today was the last day of preschool!
It was basically a day of playing on these swings for the last time until September.
When the donuts, fruit, and popcorn were doled out, I passed on it and delighted in having the swings all to myself.
Freedom! (Until September…back to Cherry Hills for one more year.)
Students from West Linn High School came to the library to show us their award-winning robot. It could pick up boxes and put them down, as well as climb a structure using a hook and winch.
