River Canyon Run is my favorite water slide at the Great Wolf Lodge. You sit on a raft with up to four other people and go whooshing down a big slide before landing in a pool. I was really afraid the first time I rode it, but grew to love it. I especially love riding it with Kenji!

KENJI’S 6th BIRTHDAY (DAY TWO)
Last night, we ate pizza and stayed up late. Then we were up early for another day at the Great Wolf Lodge!

We started the day with some morning yoga.

Then it was time to hit the wave pool.

And, of course, we had to hit my favorite water slide, River Canyon Run.

It was an amazing weekend celebrating Kenji’s 6th birthday and we had so much fun!

KENJI’S 6th BIRTHDAY (DAY ONE)
For Kenji’s 6th birthday, he had a party at the Great Wolf Lodge!!! That’s one of my absolute all-time favorite places.

They have an arcade, which I looooooooove.

They have a wave pool, which Kenji loooooooooves.

And there are lots of activities, like…storytime…

…exploring the Moonstone Mine…

…and finding gemstones at Oliver’s Mining Company. Stay tuned for Day 2!

SAHALLIE ILLAHEE PARK
GRAMPS & GRAMPS VISIT
THE K-STORM
Kenji visited and we immediately got into action mode. We played “Fight for the End,” built roller coasters, and made tie-dye shirts.

Then the next day, we went to Oaks and had the best time ever!

Finally, on our last day, we went to the park and had fun on the basketball court. It’s always the best time when the K-Storm visits!

CLACKAMAS COUNTY FAIR
HAIRCUT MAGIC
CLARK COUNTY FAIR
GOLFING WITH PAPA
Nana and Papa live by a golf course, which got me interested in trying golf. So Papa took me behind their house to practice swinging a golf club.

Then we went to a driving range where I could hit the ball even harder. Papa showed me how to hold the club and bend my knees, and told me to keep my eye on the ball.

Finally, we went to the putting green to practice tapping the ball into the hole. It was an interesting new experience, but I don’t think I’ll be trying to become a pro golfer any time soon. Thanks for the lesson, Papa!
