APPLE PIE PIZZA

My kindergarten class had a baking session at the Pine Diner (a kitchen at my school).

We made apple pie pizzas and got to try them after. I liked the baking, but didn’t care for the taste. I didn’t say that out loud because some kids liked them and that would be yucking someone’s yum.

These were the instructions we were given before baking. We guessed what would be the easiest part and what would be the hardest. I guessed flattening the dough would be the hardest, but it was actually the easiest!

SCHOOL WORK: RHYMING & APPLES

At school, we worked on rhyming. I was given a set of pictures and glued them down based on their sound.

(Warning: there is a drawing of a snake!)

We also did some experiments with apples. (There are TONS of apples growing on the trees in our school garden.) I made sure to add a drawing of a roller coaster on this one.

MY SCHOOL’S FUN RUN

ATTENTION: PEOPLE WITH MONEY!

I am participating in the Cedaroak Park Primary “Fun Run, Walk & Roll” on October 4th, and am currently accepting pledges.

You can send me a check, made out to “COP PTA,” or you can use a credit card online at: https://squareup.com/store/FunRun.

If donating online, please make a note in the box that says “Add additional note to merchant” that you are donating to Dexter Ludwig in Mrs. Flagg’s class.

All pledges are due by October 3rd.

Thank you!

MY KINDERGARTEN CLASS

Here’s a little info about my kindergarten class and what we do.

Everyday, we do reading, writing, and math.

We also have a snack, lunch, and two recesses (my favorite!).

We have music class twice a week, PE twice a week, and library time once a week.

Sometimes, we have science, social studies, art, or exploration time (that’s when we get to play with whatever we want).

We also have a fourth grade buddy who we meet with once a week. My buddy’s name is Ari and he knows a lot about Minecraft!

My teacher’s name is Mrs. Flagg. The teaching assistants (called paraeducators) are Ms. Laurer and Ms. Jones. My music teacher is Ms. Kelly, my PE teacher is Ms. Ingwerson, and my social studies teacher is Ms. Johnson. Nurse Karen is in charge of my g-tube feeds. (She knows all the words to “It’s a Small World!”)
