West Linn’s playgrounds finally reopened! We went to the playground that is always empty, no matter what. I had the place all to myself.

Finley is the best kitten ever! He’s a big mischief maker and we never know what he’s going to do next. I love playing with him and watching him do all of his crazy things.
On August 19th, 2020, Mommy and I drove to Tillamook to pick up our new kitten, Finley!
Isn’t he the cutest?
He is the king of naps.
He loves paper bags.
And watching the birds through our screen door.
He also likes lounging in his cat tree.
One of his favorite things is the packing paper that comes in delivery boxes.
Sometimes I find him in the strangest places.
He’s my new buddy. I love him already!
I have been dreaming of roller coasters since Oak’s closed last September. But because of Covid-19, we can’t go on any this summer.
Then…I heard about the Alpine Slide on Mt. Hood. Half a mile of twists and turns down a mountain!
It opened with limited capacity, so we bought a ticket online and headed to the hills!
First, you get to take a ski lift up to the top. It was scary! But how cool is that slide??
We went two times and it was so fun. I’m already planning for my longer trip around the whole park next summer!
I drove all the way to Seattle and crossed 23 rivers to meet my brand new baby cousin, Sakura! Isn’t she so cute??
Oh yeah, I played with Kenji, too! I was taking a little rest, but he kept on jumping on the bed.
So I decided to join in, too.
We played with Hugs, too…
…and just looked handsome.
I also created an amusement park in his house. This ride is called the Stair Coaster.
And Kenji has a pool! He’s the most amazing splasher and water gun shooter ever.
And then I just wanted to look at cute Sakura some more.
After a while, I wanted to go for a walk around Kenji’s neighborhood. I navigated.
We walked more than one and a half miles! Kenji needed a camel ride home.
Before I went home, I really wanted to hold Sakura. She was so heavy and comfy.
Then I had my bellhop take my suitcase to the car. It was fun meeting you, Sakura!
Grandma and Grandpa got me this Go Kart for Hanukkah. I’ve been using it in the house since then, but I finally took it for a spin outside.
Don’t you think I’m a good Go Kart model?
I practiced my braking skills on this super steep hill.
Pedaling up a hill takes even more practice!
Do you remember when I went to Phoenix’s drive-thru birthday parade last month? Well, he sent me a thank you card, but in the form of a puzzle!
I loved it! This thank you puzzle was so cool!
I think I pretty much just hung out at home and did school this week? I can’t even remember anymore.
Our fourth grade buddies left video messages for us! I sent response videos to Ari and Evie.
I also built a balance for math class and we weighed stuff. Hugs was a little bit heavier than a lime.
And we saw a rainbow!
Last week, I read a book about roller coasters while sitting on my homemade roller coaster.
Then Hugs and Baby Rosie rode on my homemade roller coaster.
For school, I wrote a “web list” about roller coasters…
…and drew a diagram of Kingda Ka.
Then, sadly, I actually had to do a lesson about bees.
And I saw a cute cat on our walk.
That was cool because I like cats, too!
All of the days are really starting to feel the same now.
Chalk drawing is getting kind of boring.
But I’ve really been liking my Hot Wheels track.
I finished my third week of virtual school.
Here’s a letter I wrote to Mrs. Flagg and Mrs. Stecher explaining why I like the color pink.
We also went on our daily walks to get closer to my goal of 40 miles. I’m almost to 10 miles now.
While walking, I gathered some leaves and flowers to make nature impressions. This is the salt dough.
Then I pressed the leaves and flowers into the dough and baked it. Here are some that I colored, as well.
We also found some painted rocks on one of our walks.
I invented a dessert called Ellamix. Here’s the recipe: Get two molasses cookies, put some strawberries and blueberries between them, and microwave until warm.
We also pulled out the bread machine Grandma and Grandpa got us a while ago. I didn’t like it very much, but Mommy and Daddy did. I’m more excited about the pizza dough we’re going to make next!
