Pouring everything out of your maraca is the best part of maraca making.

Yesterday, I had my first outing with a Portland group of kids who meet weekly for crafts and outdoorsy fun. We made maracas out of plastic bottles and then hiked up Mt. Tabor (a volcano!) to the playground. (And when I say “hiked,” I mean that Mommy carried me the whole way.) I had so much fun! I even slept with my maraca last night.

Mommy and I needed Teacher Katie to fill out some paperwork so I can get on the waiting list for a developmental pediatrician. And while we were there, I found a tiny dirt mound, one of life’s greatest pleasures.

Now the that I’m home from vacation, it’s time to get back to what I do best.

Right before we left for home, we got to quickly see Cousins Beth and Allie, who had just arrived in New Hampshire the night before! And then we headed off to Logan International Airport to make our way home.
Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa, for a fun trip!

It was our last full day in New Hampshire, so we took Pi to the dog park and I pretended to be a dog, too. Then we went to the lake and I took a little dip. The water was even warmer than our heated pool in Oregon.

In the morning, Grandma and Grandpa’s friends, Gene and Maureen, came by to say “hi.” I showed them my cars and the new contraption Uncle Mike and I were working on (a catapult!).
Then we went to a restaurant in White River Junction, VT to officially celebrate Grandma and Grandpa’s 50th wedding anniversary. And after, we got to see a train leave the station!
