Too busy building to care that Daddy put a box on my head.

Too busy building to care that Daddy put a box on my head.

Mommy is trying to get me to bed, but I have important things on my mind.
Me: How many zeroes are in a quadrillion?
(Long pause.)
Mommy: Mmm…I think there are 12.
Me: No!!! That’s a trillion.
Mommy is thinking really, really hard.
Mommy: Huh, yeah, you’re right.
Mommy and Daddy…went out to dinner by themselves.
Miss Christine, her husband Tom, and two sons, Reid and Eric, played with me at their house.
I’m still absorbing the idea that Mommy and Daddy would do something without me, but…Miss Christine had Legos! And her family is really nice.

Lately, I’ve been inspired by books and videos to make my drawings.
The next few drawings feature Kendall, Delaney, and Jackson from one of my favorite books, “There’s More Than One Way To Eat.”

My new favorite YouTube show (sorry, Tayo!) is “The Airport Diary,” with cool airplanes such as Force King, Winky, and Gugu.

For school, I read a book called “Giraffes Can’t Dance.” Ever since, I’ve been making giraffe drawings and Lego creations.

I also have a book called “Cleared For Takeoff,” where I first discovered “cutaway” drawings, where you can see the outside and parts of the inside of an airplane. My airplane’s usual windows have been replaced by drawings of seats.

For Mother’s Day, we all went on a hike around Reed Lake, which is on the Reed College campus. I hiked the whole thing, over a mile long!

Here’s the bookmark I gave Mommy for Mother’s Day. She loved it!

When I visited Kenji in Seattle last month, Mommy took lots of pictures of us together, but didn’t post them all. So here they are!

Kenji loves to pull blankets over his face. And mine, too.

I was pretty fascinated with Kenji’s head.

Happy Mother’s Day!

It’s actually been warm and sunny for a few days in a row. Could it really be spring??? After my feeding appointment with Miss Christine, I played in her yard like I like to do.

Oh, look, I found myself having fun at the airport again.

It’s exhausting having fun.

The unusually cold and long Portland winter wasn’t kind to my cucumber and squash plants. So we’re at it again!
Mommy put me to work yesterday. We’re trying cucumber again, plus tomatoes, strawberries, and flowers I picked out at the nursery.
