I finished my first week of kindergarten and I was so tired!
Mommy and Daddy thought I’d want to be lazy all weekend, but I still wanted to go for a drive. We drove to a bunch of places and had a snack in the car.
Now it’s time to be lazy for the rest of the weekend!
I was a little bit nervous, but I had studied my school map, learned my class schedule, rehearsed my morning routine, and practiced opening and closing my lunchbox. By this morning, I was ready and excited!
We start every day in the school gym for “Morning Meeting.” (The lady next to me in the pink sweater is my teacher, Mrs. Flagg.)
After our meeting, Mrs. Flagg walked us to our classroom.
This is when we took our lunch boxes out of our bags, right before Mommy and Daddy said goodbye.
And this is me, super tired and carrying a really heavy backpack, when Mommy picked me up. But I had a great time! Kindergarten is way more fun than preschool!
I created a new game and I LOVE IT. It’s called “LEGO Road Trip.”
First, I drop a bunch of pins on Google Maps and have Mommy write down the addresses. Then I pick a bunch of LEGOs for each stop and put them in their own baggie. Finally, we drive to each location, park on the side of the road, and I build a LEGO roller coaster car!
I even picked out a place to have lunch (El Indio in Portland) and built a roller coaster car there, too. We’re definitely doing this again!
It was my last Music in the Park for 2019. While next Thursday’s summer finale is happening, I’ll be sleeping soundly in my bed to be ready for school the next morning.
So I made it a good one! First, I love walking to the park from our house.
I also love the bouncy castle. And this slide is amazing!
Finally, I love walking home as the sun sets. I can’t wait for next summer!
We’re squeezing in a whole bunch of appointments before I start school next week. And one of them was a visit with my dietitian at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
They have a statue of a dog outside that I’m now tall enough to ride!
I don’t remember what I was doing here, but it was probably pretty great.
We rode the tram, of course!
And after my appointment, I was really hungry and got my favorite food from the cafeteria – falafel wrap!
I just finished a program called “Jump Start” at school. It was a little preview of what is to come in a couple of weeks. Annabel was there! So was Miss Ann, one of my old preschool teachers!
