Today, I am a kindergarten graduate!
We decorated our car for the drive-thru parade at school.
I got to see Chipper the Squirrel!
And Mrs. Flagg, too! I also got to see lots of other teachers, therapists, and paraeducators. See you next year, in one form or another!
Do you remember when I went to Phoenix’s drive-thru birthday parade last month? Well, he sent me a thank you card, but in the form of a puzzle!
I loved it! This thank you puzzle was so cool!
I am still doing school. Can you believe it??
I wrote words in white crayon and painted over them to reveal…magic words!
I also built a race car track and recorded their distances using different variables. This was my first attempt, but it didn’t work out. (Too fragile.)
I went back to the drawing board and came up with this one. It worked great!
I also started building LEGO creations while standing on this ladder (aka The Puyallup Rollback, a ride in my indoor amusement park).
And we went on walks, of course.
It was fitting that we should find this ladybug on one of our walks, because we were studying ladybugs in school!
I think I pretty much just hung out at home and did school this week? I can’t even remember anymore.
Our fourth grade buddies left video messages for us! I sent response videos to Ari and Evie.
I also built a balance for math class and we weighed stuff. Hugs was a little bit heavier than a lime.
And we saw a rainbow!
Last week, I read a book about roller coasters while sitting on my homemade roller coaster.
Then Hugs and Baby Rosie rode on my homemade roller coaster.
For school, I wrote a “web list” about roller coasters…
…and drew a diagram of Kingda Ka.
Then, sadly, I actually had to do a lesson about bees.
And I saw a cute cat on our walk.
That was cool because I like cats, too!
It was Teacher Appreciation Week and my school made a video to show the teachers at their virtual staff meeting. This is my picture that went in the video!
I also continued with virtual school, of course. One of my math assignments was to make several equations that equal the number 18. We were told to use objects, like rocks or marbles, to help us. My object was drawings of amusement parks!
And we did a lot of walking…
The deck garden is coming along nicely.
And I participated in my first birthday parade. Happy 9th birthday, Phoenix! We, and a bunch of other people, drove past his house, honking our horns and waving.
All of the days are really starting to feel the same now.
Chalk drawing is getting kind of boring.
But I’ve really been liking my Hot Wheels track.
I finished my third week of virtual school.
Here’s a letter I wrote to Mrs. Flagg and Mrs. Stecher explaining why I like the color pink.
We also went on our daily walks to get closer to my goal of 40 miles. I’m almost to 10 miles now.
While walking, I gathered some leaves and flowers to make nature impressions. This is the salt dough.
Then I pressed the leaves and flowers into the dough and baked it. Here are some that I colored, as well.
We also found some painted rocks on one of our walks.
I invented a dessert called Ellamix. Here’s the recipe: Get two molasses cookies, put some strawberries and blueberries between them, and microwave until warm.
We also pulled out the bread machine Grandma and Grandpa got us a while ago. I didn’t like it very much, but Mommy and Daddy did. I’m more excited about the pizza dough we’re going to make next!
The early part of the week was sunny and warm, so we took walks along the path by our house.
We came across this cool little creation someone made.
One of my favorite flowers is the dandelion!
I love taking their seeds and planting them nearby.
Actually, the whole town is in bloom right now.
By mid-week, it was cold and damp, so I played inside on my homemade roller coaster.
And did some windowsill reading.
But I eventually went out again and made some chalk drawings.
Puzzle update: We did it! We finished!
Okay…two pieces are missing. We got 99.8% of the way there, though. Not bad, huh?
Corn cob update: It’s taking over.
As you know, I am a big fan of the computer game, Planet Coaster. The guests in my amusement parks really like Zoltan the Fortune Teller. They tell me if they get a good, bad, or average fortune, but don’t usually tell me exactly what it is.
So I decided to write my own fortunes.
