DRAWINGS FOR SCHOOL & NOT SCHOOL

I get to do a lot of drawings at school. Ms. Murphy is really good at doing drawing tutorials. Here is my drawing of a healthcare hero. I named her Dr. Julianna.

This is how I imagine my “Magical Yet.” She’s kind of like a fairy who helps me eventually do things that I don’t know how to do…yet.

We often watch videos from a website called Scratch Garden. They are so funny and I love them. One of the characters is a beaker that Ms. Murphy taught us how to draw. I also gave him a beaker friend.

This is what a Cat Ball field looks like. Your goal is to get the ball past the Finley Line.

My favorite YouTuber is Anna Akana. She is famous for making the music video, “I Have 6 Cats.”

Speaking of 6 cats…

THINGS I SAY #83

Mommy and I were making chocolate bread in the bread machine, and during the kneading process, we added chocolate chips. So we ended up with a little dough ball with chocolate chips stuck all around it.

Me: Aww, it looks like a little coronavirus bread!

SICK FINLEY

Finley started feeling really bad and it turned out he had urinary crystals that nearly blocked his urethra. So he had to spend a lot of time at the vet getting fluids and having tests done. Good thing the vet techs there are so nice! Brenda gave him lots of cuddles and sent us a picture.

Now he’s healthy again and enjoying his favorite spot – the window perch. He even found a bug on the other side of the window that he was very interested in.

Sunnie missed her brother and was happy to have him back.

I missed him, too! I’m glad he’s feeling well again.

ELECTION DAY(S)

On the afternoon of Election Day, I was glued to the computer looking at the Electoral College map. It was less an interest in politics, and more an interest in anything involving maps! I made a special announcement every time Biden or Trump won another state.

And then the whole next day…I basically just stared at the map some more.

HALLOWEEN 2020

We celebrated a socially distanced Halloween this year!

First, we carved pumpkins and Sunnie was very curious about this ritual.

We also made a sign for our candy table.

I dressed up as an orange tabby, like Sunnie! Meow!

We didn’t knock on doors this year, but our town did a lot of candy tables, bowls, and chutes.

How awesome is this black cat pumpkin someone painted?

Despite the unusual Halloween, I still brought in a big candy haul! My favorites were Sour Patch Kids and Kit Kats.

A BUNCH OF ARTWORK

As usual, I’ve been doing tons of drawings, both at school and at home. Here are some of them!

For school, I drew a picture of something I did over the summer.

I also drew about something you could do to go from being a “Bad Seed” to a “Good Egg.”

This is a drawing about how we learn by making mistakes.

This is a drawing of me imagining if six cats could drive.

I followed a drawing tutorial at school to draw a happy ice cream cone.

And I did another drawing tutorial to draw a bat.

At home, I love to draw roller coasters like Kingda Ka! This is one where Kingda Ka rolled back.

Here are a bunch of people about to ride Kingda Ka.

Here are some of the rivers you cross to drive from Portland to Seattle.

Here is the Queensboro Bridge and a New York City skyscraper.

I love to draw cats and this is an orange tabby, like Sunnie!

Finally, here is a cat in a crate going on a car ride.
